Fender Highways Series Event Featuring Julia Rizik
Join us at Chicago Music Exchange on Thursday, November 30, for a special Fender event introducing the new Highway Series guitars and featuring Fender artist Julia Rizik in CME’s Lincoln Avenue showroom!
In addition to a demonstration of the new series, guests will receive Fender-branded swag. Guests will also be invited to record themselves playing a Highway Series guitar to enter an exclusive raffle!
A Modular Mixing Powerhouse
Designed for dependable, flexible performance, the Boredbrain Xcelon boasts a low-noise, all-analog signal path with six stereo/dual-mono input channels, each with a dedicated Gain control, two stereo FX loops, Balance control, and long-throw faders for the Volume sliders.
Each of the Xcelon’s six channels comes equipped with a pair of AC-coupled audio input jacks for left and right stereo signals. These inputs accept typical Eurorack-level audio signals, as well as line-level audio signals when boosted using the channel’s Gain control.
With all inputs on the left and outputs on the right for more ergonomic mixing, the Boredbrain Excelon lets users choose whether the Balance control applies stereo panning or crossfading between dual mono input sources, with clickless mutes ensuring that there are no pops when you bring channels in and out of the mix.
The four jacks directly below each pair of audio inputs are CV inputs, which allow for voltage control of the channel parameters. VOL affects the volume within a range of 0 to +5V. BAL affects the channel balance within a range of -5V to 5V (even with XFADE enabled), while FX1 and FX2 affect their respective send levels within a range of 0 to +5V. These latter three control voltage inputs are all biased by their knob positions.
